Overall Satisfaction with Workfront

  • Reporting - you can report on just about anything within Workfront. You are able to get a great idea of where your strengths and weaknesses are.
  • You can customize Workfront to fit your needs. Although Workfront can be a bit complex, it does allow you to customize the tool in a way that works for each of your users. Everyone works differently so having the ability to customize the user experience for each user is a huge strength.
  • Mobile/App - when it comes to using workfront on a phone it is a bit frustrating. I used the app at first and the majority of the time the app did not work. I then just tried to use it on my phone's browser and the sit was not mobile responsive.
  • I have only reached out to customer service a few times, but the few times I have reached out they have not been completely helpful. Instead of helping me through my issue they would send me to a FAQ page for me to dig through and find my answer. Would've been nice to just get the answer from the customer service team and not have to dig through the FAQ page.
  • Productivity has increased tremendously! We used to struggle to get ahead of our upcoming campaigns and were creating project the day before or even the day they were due. Now with Workfront, we are a month ahead and planning 2-3 months ahead of the project due date.
  • The team is much more satisfied with the project management tool more than any other tool we have used in the past. We were constantly hearing how the tool didn't fit their personal needs with other tools.
The other tools that we used in the past were simple and therefore the capabilities were really limited. Workfront is quite complex in what it can do which is something we didn't see with the other tools we used. We also were able to make Workfront work for ever facet of our team so everything was in one tool, whereas other tools only worked for certain teams and therefore we needed different tools for different teams.
I think Workfront is well suited for a larger team that has lot of campaign/projects. There are plenty of other project management tools that are simple and are well suited for a company that has to manage a few projects here and there. With how complex you can get with Workfront, it is best suited for a company that has multiple teams and team members so everything can be in one tool. We actually have our marketing team and sales team using Workfront, but we use the tool in totally different ways. That's the great thing about Workfront, it can easily be used in multiple ways for different teams.
