Xactly Incent - a fully customizable & scalable tool that yields trust with our sales force.
Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent
We use Xactly Incent to manage our sales compensation plans for 400+ employees with variable commissions. This includes plan document management, quota retirement, and commission calculations. We also use it to help with performance reporting, spiff & bonus & draw applications, & down the road for accounting accrual purposes.
Pros
- Plan Component Customization
- SFDC Integration for nightly data refreshes
- UX for employees to see their performance & payouts
Cons
- Service Desk (not a robust inquiry option)
- Attainment Reporting
- Non-SQL based Connect coding.
- Trust. Through Incent our employees have full transparency and trust their performance/pay outs.
- Flexibility. We've been able to change plans relatively quickly to re-align with changes in Strategy.
The analytics side of Incent is challenging in our opinion. The reports are difficult to create and require some customization from consultants. Therefore we typically export raw data in order to run our analytics.
Right now we're only using Incent to help drive sales planning. Through exporting the data, we've been able to build out robust analytics to help understand which quotas are built correctly & which ones need tweaking to help create a more normalized "bell curve".
The integration has allowed for over-night recalculations so that our reps can login the following day and see any closed deals impact their performance as well as their pending commissions. This allows for greater transparency/trust as well as a pro-active approach to inquire about any upstream data issues.
Accounting uses Incent data to help capitalize commissions. Additionally, RevOps will use raw data to help with performance reporting & club reporting.
Just spreadsheets.
