Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

Xactly Incent was implemented this year to manage the company's incentive compensation. We were previously managing all incentive compensation via Excel and SQL, which we knew was not scalable as the company grew. The main reason we implemented Xactly Incent was for real-time visibility into incentive compensation calculations and performance reporting.
  • Real time visibility into incentive compensation calculation.
  • Management of incentive compensation plans and users in the system.
  • Sales performance reporting.
  • Configuring the system can get complicated quickly.
  • The ability to add rate tables and target pay into one incentive compensation plan (currently needs to be separated).
  • We are still implementing Xactly Incent, so there are no ROI metrics available, but we believe this should eliminate manual bookings.
Incent will allow us to move away from reporting on Excel to a centralized place. We are currently only using Incent for incentive compensation calculation and automation, but we are in discussion with the Xactly team on how we can utilize the tool to provide insights that will help us make decisions regarding sales planning and forecasting.
Integrating Salesforce has helped the business because Incent will calculate incentive compensation payouts automatically without manually uploading orders. It will also give us real-time visibility into incentive compensation calculations so that we can correct errors in Salesforce (which is our system of record) before payment periods end.
The finance department will be utilizing Xactly for their reporting and accrual purposes.

Xactly Incent came at a good time for us due to the scaling of the business and overall growth. We were managing incentive comp on Excel and a SQL query, which we knew was not going to be viable as we kept scaling. Incent has a lot of different features that make managing the company's incentive comp easy with little manual work.
