Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Ziflow is being used as a proofing system for my clients. All designers, clients and executives use this platform. This platform allows my clients, designers and others to correct, comment and approve designs, videos etc. immediately and in one place.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Upload files for proofing quickly.
Immediately notifies all emails once proofing has been uploaded.
Files that are uploaded are high resolution and moves effectively.

Cons

Archiving system doesn't give notice to when proofs will disappear on the main page. So when I'm searching for a proof it seems to have disappeared.

Return on Investment

Time saved - decreased the time (days) spent following up with a client.
Eliminated the cautions of clients using the proof before the final design was released.

Effort

Ziflow's impact has been efficient in us not having to reduce the quality of the design so that the client doesn't jump ahead and send the proof files for print. The understanding is that these are proofs. I'm allowed to tick the option of allowing a client to download the file or not which is amazing. It eliminates the printing of proofs of each design especially when we do a full campaign design.

Collaboration

The team collaboration features in Ziflow made life easier! We can all be in different parts of the world working remotely, viewing a proof at the same time that automatically saves a comment and can be accessed via online platform. Also, the client can see where their comments or colleagues comments were made. Our designers are able to view the comments and reply that the items were corrected or clarification about the comment. All in one document, one platform.

Ziflow is well suited for proofing documents, videos etc. Allowing clients, designers, executives to all be included on one document and add additional revised versions of the same project. Also, receiving digital approvals from a client all in one document.

It's not appropriate if the client isn't tech-savvy or unwilling to learn the platform which is very easy to use. I had a client that loved printing out 500 pages of the design and write by hand on each page the corrections. Now I would have to decipher her handwriting and they would have to scan back to me all of those pages. It was a mess!
