Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Most of my colleagues use Lync, but Zoom is getting more and more popular. We use Zoom for meetings with people from abroad. The main issue for Zoom right now is that Zoom is very sensitive to your internet connection. It is easily cut off during a meeting, even if the internet is not so bad.

Pros and Cons

The audio is good.
The platform is stable.
The video is also good.

It is very easy to get cut off due to the internet.
Even the internet is not that bad, Zoom can be disconnected, and cannot reconnect by itself.
We have to log out and log in to re-join the meeting after disconnection.

Return on Investment

More clients.
More work.
More convenient.

Zoom Rooms

I am not sure what Zoom Rooms is. If it is the Zoom meeting we are using, then the main issue for Zoom right now is the internet issue.

Alternatives Considered

We used GoToMeeting, Lync, WebEx, Quanshi meeting, etc. and until now Zoom has been the best one. We plan to drop Zoom for others due to the internet connection problem.

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom can be used for meetings with people who are not in the same place. For example, I am in building one, and my colleague is in building two of our organization. In this case, we can use Zoom for a short meeting, instead of going and seeing that person face to face. That saves lots of time.
