8x8 Express

For the price, having all of these features is amazing. If you have separate divisions and want to not have a ton of crossover with calls this is a great setup. It isn’t a great setup if you need only one phone since it doesn’t make sense since you won’t use most of the features.

Cisco Headset 700 Series

The headset definitely excels in the environment that it was designed for - work for calls and video conferencing. Although not quite as good as premium music headsets, they are more than adequate to listen to music and podcasts as well. The high quality audio and active noise canceling make them a suitable multi-purpose headset.

If you get less than 4 phones you fall into the online only customer service. There were a couple of times that I could have used more assistance but figuring it out online was a bit of a hassle.

Too expensive and too heavy and too uncomfortable. It just didn't deliver the experience that we thought we would get based on the price. I can get the same features, for cheaper, with a more comfortable headset from another vendor. So overall this one just never got put on the final list.

Alternatives Considered

8x8 Express

I love 8x8. Having not used Polycom phones before, the hardest part was learning how to set up and use the actual phones. 8x8 makes it a seamless transition from using other service providers. Their customer service is excellent although if you get their cheapest plan you will only get online assistance.

Cisco Headset 700 Series

This headset was stood up against its competitors from the Sennheiser, Jabra and Poly companies and it just didn't stand up to what they brought to the table. So it kind of never really got off the ground because it was just too expensive.

Cisco Headset 700 Series

  • Although expensive, you get what you pay for with crystal clear audio on meetings.
  • Being able to use this headset for multiple scenarios also makes the cost easier to justify.
