SolarWinds Access Rights Manager (ARM)
I believe Solarwinds [Access Rights Manager (ARM)] is best designed for SMB. We looked at the leaders in Identity Access Management and were quoted big numbers and long timelines. We needed to have something up a running in a couple months without breaking the bank. This fit the bill and met most of the audit requests.

If you have a skilled IT support team (whether in-house or outsourced) that is familiar with Kaseya's applications and has a good relationship with the vendor, it may be a good fit. It "checks the box" for 2FA, but there are much simpler solutions out there today that can get the same job done with less complexity and, in many cases, at a lower cost.

- App is slow to load.
- App was difficult to install and pair and confirm as a trusted device. That process took over 30 minutes.

They are very helpful with helping us with any issues. There are a lot of helpful guides online if you get lost. Kaseya is also good about not bugging you with notifications. Kaseya offers easy to access to support options. Overall I have not had to contact them over a lot of issues. The software rarely broke or was down for maintenance.

SolarWinds Access Rights Manager (ARM)
There's actually very few enterprise level products out there providing the coverage that ARM does. We have never previously purchased or really tried any other solutions. We looked at PRTG AD Manager and ManageEngine AD, but we find PRTG products difficult and ManageEngine products seem to be very glitchy. As we're a SolarWinds customer already, it made sense to invest in this product and roll it into our Orion suite.

I am currently testing Okta as well. Okta seems to have a lot more functionality. They have integrations with mostly every SaaS around. They have a smoother Windows 2FA that includes push notifications and Yubikey integration. AuthAnvil is the only 2FA service available for Kaseya VSA, so that is why we are currently still using it.

- Using AuthAnvil to log into Kaseya VSA multiple times was definitely a loss in productivity.
- AuthAnvil did provide lots of security for our products because everyone would be deterred by AuthAnvil and Kaseya VSA's labyrinth-like log in process.
