Likelihood to Recommend It is useful for contract management as it is supposed to be. I like the new interface a lot. It looks much more modern now. It is not as easy to manage documents that are not contracts. We tried to use the software as a vendor management solution, but eventually, the company decided to use another software instead. It needed customizations for our use case, which we could not afford to spend time on.
Read full review If you have a highly bureaucratic organization that is heavily focused on procurement, Emptoris can provide some value. It seemed to be very good at linking the contract information to procurement for better spend control. If you are trying to implement a standalone contract management solution that allows you to easily create contracts and store them in a central location, this isn't the tool for you. There doesn't appear to be a simplified implementation. In general, when a SaaS solution has a complicated and expensive implementation, I am very skeptical. This does not show that the vendor is trying to move customers forward on a single code base. If that many things need to be done during implementation, you are starting to customize the solution for every customer. This hurts the vendor's ability to scale and make improvements in the future.

Read full review Document protection - the Check Out contract feature is a great way to allow external parties to make modifications to contract language without the ability to accept those changes. Those redlines can then be imported back into Emptoris and reviewed or further modified as needed. Notifications & reminders - you can trigger an email manually from within the system, or you can configure automated notifications andreminders to alert users when a new task is received or has aged a given amount of days, etc. Interview wizard - there is a lot of value in the interview wizard. Administrators can configure screens with selecting options via check boxes, radio buttons, or typed-in values. Variables and conditions can be used to selectively populate fields within the contract or apply other options, making for a quick and convenient method to generate contracts conforming to corporate standards. Field customization - administrators can customize a list of options for various fields including contract substatus, address type, and user created business term variables. Approvals - many different options are available to configure approvals to trigger automatically upon presenting and/or executing the contract including specific individuals, one or more approver groups, or based upon various criteria including terms within the contract, type of contract, or the contract's owning organization. Maybe having a "themes" option so that individual users could pick a color scheme/layout that worked best for them. Having a Chat feature could be helpful instead of sending internal emails. I hope Emptoris is addressing this issue in their latest releases. Though the feature of editing language in MS word is excellent, loading MS word takes time. Read full review There are a lot of new, exciting products coming out in every field and I believe that there is always something better right over the horizon. If it was my choice, I would review my usage of Emptoris and other software periodically to make sure I'm using the most efficient software possible.
Read full review Usability Nice and simple interface. The software does its job well. It is not a central software for company operations, but it makes it significantly easier for multiple departments to operate. Regular updates and communication about them are the best part of the software and I would recommend it for other departments should the need arise. One major benefit I have found of Agiloft is scalability. As the company grows, the number of contracts grows almost exponentially. Agiloft allows handling them easily without having to reorganize old contracts.

Read full review Support Rating Implementation was relatively easy and I have not had any issues with the support. UI change created some challenges for the end-users, but overall, it was a smooth experience. I hope the company will continue investing in the product and not consider it as something to not care about too much. I believe Agiloft does not make any other software, so I think the focus on it should not wane.

Read full review Alternatives Considered Prior to implementing Agiloft, we used ProLaw. ProLaw acts as an electronic library for all contracts across the company. We were able to get this to work for us but it was limited in what functionality it provided. Agiloft is far superior when it comes to tracking and contract generation. Both systems store the agreements; however, Agiloft does a lot of the work for us. It creates the agreements with the click of a button, manages user permissions, sends automated reminders without requiring setup. These are all things ProLaw either didn't have or had but required manual entry. I was not the one who selected Agiloft as our new system, but after using it I can see why it was chosen.
