Airtable vs Cisco Jabber

• Airtable has the best customization features out there. They allow you to customize you spreadsheets or tables in a variety of formats. They allow you to customize a variety of field types, field sizes and various colors.
• Airtable has a great collaboration feature that makes it easy to share and grant access to tables and a variety of information.
• Airtable has great compatibilities that allows you to directly upload spreadsheets from excel into a customizable table.
• Airtable is easy to teach and understand quickly, and does not take time for someone who is not technically advanced to understand

• The Cisco Jabber client allows a user the flexibility of location while still being available to anyone for collaboration and communication. No longer tethered to a desk to take calls. This is a huge benefit in my mind
• Cisco Jabber also provides presence and availability status without even needing to actually call or send a message to someone to determine availability. This saves a ton of time from wasted effort trying to find someone and learn if they are available to collaborate.
• When configured correctly Cisco Jabber can also be integrated with some calendaring systems to automatically update the status of a user.

• Pricing model: we don't like how we have to pay per user.
• Calendar view: we wish the calendar view was better, or if there were different types of calendar views. Right now there is just one.
• Complicated: some parts of the app are a little complicated.

• I'd kind of like to see Jabber become fully cloud-based. When I utilized the program, it was mainly a separate item on our system. While this wasn't necessarily a setback, it mainly had an overall aesthetic of a more dated technology.
• The Jabber app doesn't store credentials for logging in when I sign on. Basically every time I would re-open the app I would have to re-type my log-in info. It made me a little more hesitant to use the app on the road.
• I would also have liked to see file transfer somehow be sped-up. Transferring of files is pretty simple to locate on Jabber, but the wait time is a bit of a drag and sometimes it even fails. Some improvement could be made in this regard.

• The ROI is simple: Airtable has created a more efficient workplace. We have fewer meetings, certainly. But any meetings we do have are much more efficient and impactful. Everyone walks in having used Airtable to prepare for the meeting (uploading needed docs, etc.), and the meeting is held using Airtable as the agenda. Airtable is updated and continues to be used after the meeting, so everyone stays on the same page.
• Airtable also makes planning events much more streamlined. Contracts, rental agreements, rosters, etc. are uploaded. Dates are set with reminders. People know what they are responsible for planning the event and for what role they will play during the event.

• Easily allows users to use their VoIP phone to make phone calls.
• Gives users the ability to not have to use an actual phone in their office as our organization moves to more of a work from home group.
• The integration as a virtual phone with USB headsets is a great plus as our previous system had to have either wired or wireless clunky headsets.
