I cant say that I choose Motive(KT) by myself, and I'm not even sure that I would like to use it again, but if there is something that I would choose over all my other experiences, it would be how easy is to learn how to use it, therefore teaching other users is fast.
I don't know what you mean by this. If you drive for a living, then it is suited for you. If you need something that records where your drivers are and what they are doing, then this is a good device to use and is very user-friendly. If you don't drive, then you don't need it.
The customer and technical support are amazing. You can talk to a real person on the phone who is knowledgeable and responsive. There are also online chat and email options.
The integration with our dispatch (TMS) software is flawless with nice features.
The total safety options are very robust. Our insurance carrier loves what we are reporting to them.
Speed limit signs take a while to update. A stretch in PA and TN comes to mind, and it still has the old speed limit that was changed four months almost a year ago.
Split sleeper berth errors: When a driver experiences an adverse driving condition and also properly completes a sleeper split, the system has not acknowledged this several times, and I had to contact Motive to get it fixed.
Many drivers have randomly stayed on "On Duty" status, even though they had been driving for several hours.
When signing into Motive upon entering and starting motor vehicle, the app and the transmitting unit pair immediately. Once paired it is extremely easy and efficiently started to populate the necessary unit information. Then entering the Work Order info is seamlessly entered to the E- log. Doing the pre and post vehicle checks is completed quite accurately.
As previously said, Motive allows our dispatch to keep continuous eyes on our drivers. We are notified of their driving condition. The ease of use for mileage gathering and routes taken help our team use their time to focus on other areas of need.
Even after using the product for multiple years, Motive continues to have follow-up calls with us to ensure we are taking full advantage of the functionality offered, to show us new tools and modules that are being released, and to help solve any issues or troubleshooting that may be required.
Azuga Fleet is much more user friendly. The information is the same, but Azuga Fleet delivers that information in a much easier and more logical way. The reporting functionality of Azuga Fleet is so much better than GeoTab--easier to access, easier to read, and just better overall. The only feature that GeoTab has is the school bus capability. But, it is also a much more difficult install. For the majority of our vehicles, the easy plugin install of Azuga Fleet is all we need.
Truck X customer support is extremely difficult to understand and they take a very long time to complete one task. Each time my husband or I called it was nothing short of 20 minutes and they would talk as though we were just too stupid to make their device work properly.
