Paycom is a core HR management software solution. It includes features such as talent acquisition and management, time tracking, and payroll management. It offers some automation capacities, particularly regarding payroll.
We ultimately chose Paycom over Paylocity because we felt the user experience (both administrative and employee) was more intuitive. And we also felt an authenticity from all individuals at Paycom who met with us prior to our decision.
Checkr is streamlining and automating the background check process, which is a tremendous benefit for a small HR team who typically doesn't have the bandwidth to manually conduct education verifications or criminal searches, but hires in a massive scale. Checkr nicely integrates with my ATS, Payroll, and security monitoring platform for SOC 2 compliance, making things more efficient, especially with a small HR team. Ordering background checks takes only a couple of clicks.
Paycom has been a great fit for our organization. The customer service model really sets it apart from other systems. Having a dedicated account specialist and a team of backup specialists is almost like having another arm to our HR department
System is true single platform and updates in real time, more efficient. When I make a change it updates immediately. Never been kicked out of the system trying to change a function.
Reporting function is the best I've ever used. Easy to use and fast!

We've made the mistake of moving away from Paycom to a PEO which had made a lot of promises, that they could not keep. Less than a year after that transition, we returned to Paycom and are happier than ever.
It has plenty of customization that you can do to help with sending information to those who need it rather than to just one person for all things. Allowing for more workflow customization for your organization's needs.
The system is very user friendly. Once you navigate where your information is stored under the forms you are golden. While the training amplified my capabilities and knowledge, I could have jumped into the system without and training and managed just fine. This probably one of my favorite parts about Paycom!
Paycom is the best payroll and HR software I have utilized in my 30 plus years as a CPA working in private industry. I am always confident in the software and my support team. The software is updated on an ongoing basis automatically. Paycom relieves a lot of stress over this vital area of any business.
All the online training modules were short and straight to the point. Every module teach you how to use the system. If there is one thing they know how to do is training. We did implementation during the pandemic so all had to be done online or via zoom meetings.
Not at all satisfied it was a nightmare we spent over 8 months with the implementation team having issues after issues all related to the Puerto Rico regulations (half my employees are in Puerto Rico) and at the end we were moved over from the implementation team to the production team without all the issues being resolved
We have not used any services other than Checkr. We started using Checkr over a year ago and have had no need to try other services. Checkr provides us with the services we need in an easy, complete format. Background / Criminal history checking are our primary use of Checkr and it provides these seamlessly.
Paycom seems to be more robust than Paylocity and offers more of the features we need and could use. Paychex Flex didn't offer all the areas we were looking for and doesn't have the features we want. We were looking for a system that could perform well in several areas of HR, to provide a one-stop shop for our employees and HR department. While these other systems have many features, we felt like Paycom had the best presentation of these other features.
We no longer have a full-time HR manager. The duties are split between a Controller and another manager-reduced costs-all in an $80,000/year savings.
Employee self-management of benefits enrollments eliminated manager support for the process. It's completely self-administered by the employee, probably saves 80 hours of administrative work at a minimum and eliminating any chance that management makes an error on the employee's record.
