Peoplematter is a great solution for companies who want to save time and money on the onboarding process. It is a very simple solution that will really aid your managers and HR with their daily duties. It provides relief by ensuring the W4 and I9 are filled out accurately, plus additional onboarding items. It integrates with job boards making posting jobs a breeze. It has great reporting functions to help track where your new hires are coming from, turnover, assessments scores, etc. Honestly, I feel PeopleMatter's Price Point makes this product valuable to any size company or business

  • With so many positions in our restaurant it is nice to be able to send messages about specific positions to specific people as opposed to everyone in the company when certain protocol changes may not pertain to them.
  • As a manager/admin I have easy access to all employee info via the PeopleMatter app. All your phone numbers and email addresses are in one place.
  • PeopleMatter makes it extremely easy for employees to pick up and give up shifts via the PeopleMatter app.

  • We've been with talentReef nearly 2 years and our last 2 account managers have been great! Support was a concern right after we converted, but we were able to gain an account rep and began weekly calls until all the holes were plugged in.
  • Linking ATS data and onboarding data eliminates the need for the applicant/new hire to enter the same information twice.
  • We're now receiving system emails regarding upcoming new releases, which is helpful.

  • The PeopleMatter app should allow all employees to have access to an employee contact list.
  • Action items should be able to be opened via the PeopleMatter app.
  • Employees should be able to update their own availability as long as they meet the company requirements.

  • Applicant flow is terrible. You can post jobs on Indeed for free, and receive a better applicant flow than posting through TalentReef. TalentReef was unable to provide any reasoning for this to happen
  • If you want to change/edit your onboarding documents, you need to e-mail them to support. This can sometimes take more than 48 hours to accomplish, and more often than not, was not done as requested
  • Customer Support is terrible. When they respond to you, they do not answer the question fully or provide any alternative solutions
  • Pricing is very high. There are numerous other alternatives in the market that provide better services for half the price

I would definitely renew our use of PeopleMatter, because it would not be beneficial or cost effective for us to go back to doing it in house. If they are willing to listen to our needs and wants and update the program for the better on a regular basis why would you. I feel like we got in on the ground floor and we are evolving with them

The account reps were easily reachable. I have made different types of recommendation, especially about the communication part. There are videos and a help center with fairly quick response times. I can easily update my career site, and they even have a text to hire option. I have not used that yet, but we are discussing it.

Alternatives Considered

I have used Indeed and Proven for hiring. Indeed is great, but Proven was more for corporate staff. I like Snag because it was developed for part to full-time service industry jobs. It has more people there for my company, where, with others, there are more professional or white-collar jobs/resumes to sort through.

TalentReef has a better interface than SnagAJob, but that is just about it. SnagAJob did a very good job in applicant flow, however, they also advertise for other companies during the application process which is a major downside to their system.Newton is far superior not only with pricing but in support and functionality. After only 60 days with the system, I could not imagine going back to TalentReef ever again.

  • It is hard to assign actual ROI dollars to the system. What I can tell you is that the positive impacts are the following: customizable system to meet our business needs, elimination of paper from the restaurant location and web based employee file storage is first class and it's reporting capabilities make data retrieval very quick and easy.
  • Positive impact: ease of use and system navigation increases usage at the restaurant manager level and actually makes them enjoy the recruiting and hiring process as opposed to viewing it as a burden.
  • Combining the recruiting, selection and onboarding process under one roof has significantly sped up the hiring process giving our team an advantage in the marketplace.
