  • Our market is based off NPD. We are a research team and always look to release new parts/BOMs more frequently. I feel arena is quick solution for this.
  • As we use arena to order our parts, having costing associated with the BOMs is really helpful.
  • Sourcing and vendor information is helpful.

  • When introducing new assemblies, this tool allows for fast uploads of BOMs, documentation and change control. This allows us to share that information with our suppliers as they can simply log into Arena and download the data they need to produce the product. With this process in place, we know exactly what the supplier is providing.
  • Using Arena as a total solution, we don't have to research, purchase and use other tools that don't integrate with each other. This would be costly and add time for data reviews and audits.
  • Love the fact that all the data is stored on servers we don't have to purchase and support and that the data is backed up and retrievable.

  • We implemented Arena as our first CM control system, so the impact is consistent with all of the advantages of CM and revision control where previously there was only user discipline. We tried to use Arena for Project/Program Management but went with another tool for its advanced integration capabilities.

  • We heavily rely on Arena for our NPD. When we participate in our yearly audits, we no longer need to dig through paper files or hard drives to find sign-offs of gate reviews or changes. Everything is electronically captured and the timeline is visible to stakeholders in the NPD process as well as our outside auditors. This saves time during the sign-off process and the audit.
  • The quality of the product has seen improvement as well. The latest revision of the BOM is always visible and the user has access to see if there is a working revision and if changes are in progress. If engineering sees there is a working revision, they may add a cost reduction to the next BOM changes, so we can implement all changes at once, instead of multiple changes and releases.

  • Because we can easily share data with our supply base, we are able to more quickly and effectively respond to a customer's RFQ. (this would address "time to market")
  • Being able to connect with suppliers around the globe allows us to consider more suppliers, and potentially more cost effective suppliers. This allows us to quote a more competitive price to our customer.
  • Use of the PLM, Quality, and Projects tools allows us to more effectively manage projects. We are all working with a "single version of the truth." Our team members do not have to search for data - because it is all located on Arena.

  • It is the go-to for all our our audits, thus it helps keep our company out of trouble with auditors and it makes it easier for them.
