CMiC Support has been great. They communicate well when rolling out updates. Although getting the R13 version out has been a long time coming, I understand why it was pushed from the end of last year to the middle of this year. We have also participated in the annual CMiC Connect event. This has been great because we get to learn what other companies have been doing with CMiC.

Customer support is great at responding (for the most part), however I still believe it takes too long to resolve issues. Certain issues are not considered "urgent" can sit for months. Even when we pay for custom things to be added, we find ourselves waiting quite a while to get things up and running.

It's been a difficult road, and we still don't have all the answers. When doing things like payroll, we need help immediately, not "within 24 hours". We've also been advised to do certain functions one way, and then told that is incorrect and we should be doing it another way. Very frustrating.

I’m giving Support a middle of the road review rating because I haven’t contacted CMiC services before. I do have teammates that have contacted CMiC and they have stated that their experience was pleasant. As a result, I have rated this as a 5 because I don’t have enough information to rank it higher or lower.

The support portal is often down and it is difficult to get a live support technician on the phone to work through problems. Construction is a business that values time immensely and having to wait several days or hours to resolve an issue is not beneficial. It would be helpful to have a quicker response time and a different style of support, such as screen sharing or similar, to go through the issue in live time.

The interface is the main problem. People who are not familiar with how a database works are the ones who struggle to use this product. Upgrade the GUI and I believe users will have a more positive experience--fewer steps to get a picture uploaded, easier ways of viewing photos/reports, one-click technology.

Anytime I have an issue with CMiC, there is always someone that responds within two days. Most of the issues are not pressing and a 2-day response is great. CMiC usually ensures that a problem has also been resolved, following up and ensuring that there are no outstanding issues or items that they can take care of.

First two years, support was very slow. Some support people didn't seem to have much experience with the software themselves. One training person was very poor at giving the forecasting training, was not very knowledgeable. In the last year, support service has improved and is getting better. I have noticed turnaround times are getting quicker, so something good is happening.

Do not like the support portal and requirement of case entry at all. Every user is not given access to the support portal; so there is a middle-person collecting and forwarding information between end-users and support.

Questions must be well qualified/documented for the best results, that can take time to screenshot, etc. Support documentation has taken a huge leap forward in the last year for general troubleshooting.
