Ducknowl is an Applicant Screening and assessment sofftware from the company in Chicago, which allows recruiters and HR professionals to screen applicants. It prevents bait and switch situations with in-built features like proxy prevention, online testing and result sharing.

We used Ducknowl for hiring support team, it helped us to quickly shortlist the resumes using keyword matching feature. It also saved our time and efforts in the hiring process as it offers one way interviewing feature that gave us more insights and a better understanding about candidates. We are happy using Ducknowl as it has all the features we needed.

Pros

  • Ducknowl has think time feature for one way video interviewing. We can use this to ask impromptu questions to interview since we can define how much time a candidate to think the answer once the candidate sees the question

Cons

  • Ducknowl does not have a live coding test, this would have helped us in some coding jobs.

Ducknowl helps us to identify and manage the best candidates for the positions we offer.

Pros

  • Parses through resumes looking for specific qualifications that help us hone in on candidates that fit our positions best.
  • Provides ability to let us objectively make overrides of parsed resumes to look for soft skills that don't necessarily show up on a resume.
  • Compliments our our move into other markets with a stout video interviewing module.

Cons

  • Assessments could be improved with more diverse options, especially for real estate industry.
  • It can take some finagling to get the correct user access setup and running.
  • Video interviewing feature is nice but can be built out more to compete with other conferencing tools that are cheaper, such as Google Meet.
