  • An in-built calendar to manage your daily work schedule. Let's you create events, invite a particular group of people, accept invitations, and remind you of your upcoming meetings and tasks.
  • I also like the daily emails we get from Exchange that ask you to set aside time for yourself or your other hobbies to take a short break from monotonous work.
  • The email categorization feature is pretty good, especially the sort/search filtering option to navigate through your emails, which can also go through your deleted emails.
  • It has an excellent spam-filtering feature which greatly reduces the chance of malware and spam. I have hardly seen spam emails get through their filter. On the other hand, it also recognizes emails from external organizations that may be spam, but are important work emails.
  • I wish there are more options in the email filters. For example, I have been unable to find a way to look for emails from a particular date without scrolling through all the emails containing particular keywords.
  • Third-party application integration isn't very well developed. It could have been a great option to widen the scope of usage for Exchange.
  • The UI is fine, but it could be a bit more robust and intuitive. Pop-ups and dialog boxes especially have poor design, which reduces the user experience.

  • User management is simple. Creating, deleting, and moving mailboxes and distribution lists is simple.
  • The Active Directory integration is excellent. Once again, this is the best of the best.
  • Mobile device integration is possible. Integration with Microsoft Outlook is quick, easy, and effective.
  • Troubleshooting problems can be difficult. Even for seasoned Exchange Admins, some of the issues that arise are not particularly intuitive.
  • Exchange cost is costly, both in terms of hardware and, more importantly, in terms of software.
  • It's not something you want a novice to set up or manage. You'll need administrators who are familiar with Microsoft Exchange.

  • Admin center needs work, in my opinion it lacks key functions such as advanced message tracing.
  • Admin center phishing mitigation, currently this is locked behind defender.
  • A better shared mailbox experience. Once more users have them, it breaks down.

  • Synchronize your agenda with the project, which gives you a great advantage when working on a project.
  • Manage your emails in an easy and agile way.
  • Provides a high level of security for all users.
  • It has the ability to sync with other collaborative tools.
  • As a start, if the price of licenses were lowered a little, you would help many small companies.
  • Increasing the storage space of the mailboxes in the same way if it could be increased would be an excellent plus for end-users.
  • If I could add some way that users could see the emails they have in quarantine, that would be great.

  • We use the calendar function the most. With 8 managing partners, and 40 staff members it helps us keep track of who is in the office, who is in a meeting and which conference room is being used. It is also used to keep track of who is using video conference so we can keep the streaming down during those moments.
  • I personally love that the email files you can create to organize your emails. I am balancing several different functions so it necessary to be able to quickly access and locate emails.
  • We use group emails the most. It is a great tool to have for our project managers. When you have larger projects with several different consultants and team members, it is easier to create a contact list of all those involved than to remember each persons email ever time you need to send something out.
  • When using a grouped email list, if you want to see who is in that list you have to expand it. However, a warning comes up that tells you once you expand it you cant collapse it. So the only way to verify who is in that list is to go into the properties of it and click through the list. It would be nice if the collapse feature was still available.

  • [Microsoft] Exchange is the gold standard for Corporate email. It is flawless in maintaining and delivering email to all of our users. It has been around so long the thing it does the best is just work. Most of the flaws and bugs are already out of the system.
  • The GUI management tools for MS Exchange, whether Online or on-premise, are fairly well documented and for the most part fairly easy to use.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange gives you the option to have an all in one box solution. Its not recommended but for smaller shops its a nice alternative to a more extensive setup that requires multiple servers.
  • If sized correctly, MS Exchanges is fine tuned out of the box to be fairly quick and responsive as to email delivery.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange is best used with MS's Outlook Email client. Trying to use it with third party options, including mobile possibilities, limits some of the capability a use may have.
  • If an on-premise [Microsoft] Exchange server has an issue and data corruption takes place, the method in which MS uses mail logging to restore a system can be overly complicated and take an extensive amount of time.
  • If the admin need you have is not included in the Graphic interface one has to move to using Powershell to get some basic tasks done. This is a bit cumbersome for part time Exchange admins.
  • Setting up Exchange to be fault tolerant can be a cumbersome process.
