Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Exchange
We have used Microsoft Exchange for the past 8 years for Emails, Calendars, and Contacts. Microsoft Exchange has good support for organizations which our company desperately needed. We have multiple companies and email domains and wanted a single place to manage mailboxes and user info. Microsoft Exchange helped us achieve this goal.

- SMTP Server Reliability
- Support for Mobile devices
- Could have better spam filtering.
- Better Security.
- Be more modern, without going to the cloud.
- E-Mail via ActiveSync and MAPI
- Deep compatibility with Outlook Desktop App
- Sharing of mailboxes and calendars
- We have always had E-Mail, so the impact can't be easily measured.
- We have had to spend a significant amount of money and resources on exploited Exchange Server cleanup due to security vulnerabilities found in Exchange Server.
Google Workspace has excellent spam filtering, but poor customizability without resorting to third-party software or hacks/workarounds. Microsoft 365 has its own problems. We are currently using both Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online (Microsoft 365) to handle mailbox management and Email delivery. This is not an ideal situation and there are a lot of caveats about how you manage mailboxes that can make it hard for some lower-level Tech's in our company to do their job. Ideally, you would want to cut straight over to 365, but that can't always be done.
