approx 500 servers

This is about what we expected when we purchased the product which has changed incrementally over the last few years as we move to a cloud based environment and decommission old servers, we have had to increase our licencing number on 2 occasions previously

The compression of jobs has allowed us to increase this amount with our existing hardware

We currently have a total of 8 virtual machines with application servers and domain controllers being the most critical ones for backups. We are looking to add 4 Azure VMs; we are working with Microsoft Windows Server 2022 to create our hybrid workspace for all the users who wish to work from home.

Veeam is currently backing up multiple virtual servers for our company. We anticipated that the software would be backing up all of these virtual environments much the same as the previous backup software had been doing. Veeam is lining right up with our level of expectation for use in backing up our company data files. It has met the mark for our expectations in this regard.

I currently back up around 10 VMs, replicate them to another host, and copy online backups daily to tape, all with Veeam. It's very flexible and this workload was completely in the plan - Veeam makes them easy to achieve and simple to administer. Notifications are excellent - particularly the ability to email on exception only. Who needs to be told when things are ticking along nicely - emergency notifications only please!

Currently, we are using Veeam Backup & Replication to protect our users' inboxes. We have over 5000 inboxes in our company. To store that data we are using cold storage on Azure because it is very cheap. In a period of 2 years, we had to increase the licenses we bought originally because we increase our payroll.

We never backup alone!

We started out covering only some critical machines and coming from VDP of VMWare we thought we couldn't handle more. But gradually we included all our infrastructure some 30 VMs of which 10 are replicated on remote sites and 5 have application-level backups. It is more than we ever imagined when we tested and finally purchased the software.

We bought the software to backup 1 system for a customer. But when we realized how nice this software is, we tried it to replace Backup Exec and were totally flashed how easy it was compared to the old system. We use it to backup 15 Hyper-V Machines and the Cluster.

We have about 50 virtual servers being backed up by Veeam B&R along with 3 physical servers. This is on par with what we expected when we initially purchased the license. We learned you can backup three workstations for one server license, which is nice so that any extra licenses don't go unused.

We're currently backing up four virtual and two physical workloads. This is about what we expected to be our usage for our organization.

Our IT infrastructure is relatively simple, but as with most businesses, our data is critical to us.

What we wanted out of Veeam Backup & Replication was something that would allow us to reliably back up all of our servers and workstations without needing to involve a third party.

2 cloud, 2 virtual, and 2 physical workloads. This was more than what we had anticipated as we were not planning on backing up whole servers, but we were fortunate that Veeam Backup & Replication had the foresight to have these features implemented.

We have a total of 15 devices (physical and virtual) being backed up. When we started it was 10, so in the course of a year it has grown quite a bit. I recently had to add storage to my nearline backup server to handle the new servers we keep adding.

To get things started, we are now replicating and backing up about three extremely important virtual machines. There has not been a problem discovered as of yet. We're going to add additional virtual machines as soon as we get extra storage capacity to store the virtual machines.

Around 80 on-premises virtual machines + around 16 other physical endpoints. There has been a slight increase since we acquired it, though we anticipate a decrease in future as we move some workload to SaaS platforms. Much attention is focused on license portability and being able to scale up and down easily - but for some organizations like ourselves we've had a very stable, consistent workload and growth rate over the years.
