Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak

We use it across the whole organization. It is used to spot check the productivity of users who work from home. Originally it worked very well, but after a few months, reporting became spotty. Because of that, the data is less useable because we don’t know if a user was not logged on or if ActivTrak just stopped reporting.

  • No notifications when you go over your limit of users
  • We have not seen a return on investment
  • When it works it is valuable but it seems to work less and less as time goes on

It started off great, but now there isn’t much value in the product. I don’t know what happened but it doesn’t consistently track users. If ActivTrak could fix the issues, make the software easier to navigate, and provide better reporting options (without needing to upgrade), it would be well worth the cost.
At first it helped reassure managers their work-from-home employees were working. At this point we are very close to cancelling our subscription because we can’t take action on the data collected given that there are so many gaps in recording.
ActivTrak has gaps in its recordings, which makes it unusable for us. We don’t know if a user was offline or if ActivTrak just stopped working. It doesn’t provide the information in a consistent manner. Without consistent data, the data that is available isn’t enough to make decisions about a user's productivity.
