Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

PDF is one of the most widely used file formats, and Adobe Acrobat DC is the full suite of things available via PDF. While Adobe offers most of the basic functions online (sign & fill, combine, etc.), Adobe Acrobat DC is what you would need if you want to have full control over formatting, security, or compatibility.
  • Formatting and file optimization
  • PDF editing suite
  • PDF encryption and security
  • Adobe suite compatibility (confusing to navigate different PDF formats generated by different Adobe software)
  • Editing capabilities not all that clear and seems to change every time you open/edit/save it
  • Formatting files for print
  • Full editing capabilities
  • Reduction of errors
  • Ability to take all design in-house
The basic functions of Adobe Acrobat DC are pretty simple to use and have a low learning curve, but things like figuring out editing, formatting, etc. have a much higher learning curve. For example, it took me quite a while to figure out the different settings that would optimize file sizes (reduced file size/optimized file) and how different software versions or even different software affect the ability of others to edit a PDF.
I like that I've never had to worry about security breaches with Adobe, and the built-in capability to password protect/encrypt PDF files for sensitive information. We work in healthcare, where information needs to be HIPAA compliant, so you can never have too many options when it comes to filing security.
Adobe Acrobat DC is still the easiest when it comes to handling PDF's. Most other software will have limitations, so it's always been easiest to figure out what's going on with a PDF in Acrobat.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

If you work with a lot of PDF's for important documents that need to be encrypted or files that will be edited for print, it's good to have Adobe Acrobat DC so you get the full suite of options available when it comes to filing formats and editing. For simple PDF needs, like signing documents or combining multiple PDF's into one file, the website is sufficient. It's always nice though to have Acrobat DC on at least one device because I've always found a need to use it.
