Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Experience Manager

It is one of our customer-facing channels. We essentially use that as our acquisition channel for our customers to come in and go through an application process and apply for a product that we provide. That's essentially our main platform of engagement for acquiring new customers.
  • It is able to support our incoming volume. We're one of the largest in what we do in the country, and we've not had any issues in terms of how it performs, or how it scales our customers coming in. It's a fairly stable platform. It is also a very intuitive platform in us being able to give our business users the ability to come make changes and request additions without going through a huge lift in getting those requests implemented. It has also been a very developer-friendly platform for my team to be able to develop, adapt, and build. We're also expanding on being able to use AEM both as a pure content management solution and also as a headless content solution. So that way we are trying to build a unified content platform that would allow us to create, publish, and manage content across channels from one place. So it's fairly intuitive that way. It's fairly scalable. Obviously, the modern tooling helps, but overall I think it's been a good experience.
  • It's still, at the end of the day, a very traditional platform in by that we mean it's a bulk air platform. There are too many components, which means a lot more operating costs in terms of manageability and things like that. We have tried to streamline that as much as we can, but the multiple components still exist. If anything, Adobe could kind of think about that a little bit to maybe decouple some of those and make them a more slimmer platform. I think that would help. I think that a lot of customers are still in the traditional environment and as we ourselves are looking to move to the cloud, I think some of that will get taken care of, but I think that's one area where it would help if Adobe can put some thoughts into that.
  • I would say ROI has gotten better over the years. My development team, as well as the business community in our firm, has gotten more familiar with it. We were able to get more out of the product. We still believe we just scratched the surface. I mean, at the end of the day, the product's only as good as how you use it and how we implement it. So we're also getting better at it. But I think the ROI is definitely there. And I think where there isn't ROI is what I was referring to earlier - the things that are more transactional in nature. Outside of that, I think there's definitely ROI, things that we could do, things not just for current needs but also something that we could strategize and build towards what we want to be on the digital journey.
Mainly because of the things that I think we haven't been able to get out of it. As a result, the end user is not seeing those benefits. So I think that's where a platform is feature-rich. I think it's our ability to be able to get to some of those, tap into some of those hidden functionalities. I think there are still certain areas where, because of the nature of it, certain things from a performance standpoint, you have to be careful how we design and implement that. Otherwise, it could have an impact on performance. So we have seen cases where they take certain things, tend to drag a little bit, and take time to load. Also, a lot of the templates that Adobe provides are part of their custom framework and how it is done. So sometimes some design decisions that our UX team does makes it a little bit challenging to accommodate within the Adobe framework. So I think there is a little bit more fluidity to the whole thing. I think that would help us more with the design as well, which translates into better user experience.
  • Obviously the DAM, the digital asset management, is a big piece of it.
  • The CMS, the ability for us to create content fragments, is a huge win for us because we do have multiple channels and as we're working our way to creating a unified platform, I think that helps. I think the key pieces that we're stand at least that we use. We're not in a multi-site environment right now. We may be going towards that, so we haven't really explored that. But we have looked into it in a limited capacity. That's certainly a feature that interests us quite a bit and something that we'll be using in the future.
Stacks up fairly well. Most of them have similar challenges in terms of how bulkier they are as a platform. So the manageability becomes a challenge. But I think the ease of use and our ability to be able to get things done in terms of creating either these fragments or being able to automate some, how you are managing your DAM assets, how you are doing your ongoing maintenance. Some of those are definitely more mature with Adobe or has matured over time. So those are definitely positives. Definitely, AEM stacks up very well with some of those, and some of those players don't exist anymore. Those platforms have phased out so Adobe continues to thrive. So that speaks for itself.

Do you think Adobe Experience Manager delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Yes

Did Adobe Experience Manager live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Experience Manager go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Experience Manager again?

Yes

I think Adobe Experience Manager is great when you look at when putting content out, like not just for marketing, but also for things you know that are not very transactional in nature. For example, your acquisitions or KYC or running some marketing campaigns, something more content-rich as opposed to something that is more dynamic and more transactional which tends to pose a challenge. It's a rather bulkier platform for us to use as day-to-day transaction reporting. So I think that's how I would look at it.
