Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We have payroll, time & attendance and benefit features on ADP Workforce Now. I am the administrator and HR is the main department that utilizes it. Employees use it to enter their hours worked, requesting and approving time offs, and benefit enrollment.
  • You can find most information in one login (pay info, PTO balance, benefits enrollment, etc).
  • You have access to that information online, so you can check it any time from your PC or mobile.
  • I see some system errors that the support team cannot detect or cannot figure out why that error happened and it worries me sometimes.
  • There are so many functions that I feel like I'm not utilizing the system fully.
  • It has greatly reduced HR's workload.
  • I think ADP Workforce Now is one of the ultimate HR systems.
  • However, they still need improvements, especially with customer service. Because they are not getting enough training, I have to call in twice or sometimes three times to make sure I got a correct answer.
  • Overall it helps HR a lot especially if you have multiple modules.
  • If the company is going electronic, this will reduce the use of paper and manual entries in the system.
  • When the company has a lot of non-exempt employees, time card entry in the system helps employees, supervisors and payroll administrator.
  • Benefits module is a good feature especially for a large company and you have to go through a large number of employees' open enrollment.

COVID-19 Response

They held different COVID-19 related webinars which helped me a lot to understand what is going on especially in HR perspective, and they quickly adopted payroll deduction and tax regulations applicable to COVID-19 crisis.
Our company fortunately did not need to apply for PPP loans or PPP loan forgiveness. We do not have specific date for office reopening, but we are preparing for it. I attended few webinars about office reopening and return to work held by ADP, and we have requested information on their time clock which can take temperature of the employees. We decided not to implement that device, but ADP seems to offer service to help business.
I was not aware of COVID-19 Employee Communications Toolkit and the ADP Employer Preparedness Toolkit, but I attended some webinars and provided information to my team for additional resource of information. We have a strong COVID-19 awareness team in our company, so we didn't utilize much toolkit from ADP, but I could see that they were offering a lot of support.
This is not limited to COVID-19 situation, but this has helped employees a lot especially when they request PTO and enter timecard, and managers approve these requests. Before pandemic, there were often times where managers using ADP app to approve employees timecard while they were on business trip. This was very important for payroll practitioner because we need managers approval before processing hourly employees' payroll.
