Overall Satisfaction with Alpha Anywhere

Alpha Anywhere is the primary development tool used to build custom applications that are used within the business and by our clients. The vast majority of these applications are browser based and are built to manage the business processes required by the end user. Anything from a simple income and expenditure application through to full ERP systems and everything in between.

The client base is across a wide range of business areas.

Pros

  • It allows the developer to focus on the end user needs while doing the "heavy lifting" of application development.
  • It seamlessly is able to connect to just about any back end database taking care of the nuances of the database programmed language.
  • It has a full production environment which includes a powerful cloud hosting offering that simplifies the delivery of the end product
  • It has a feature rich digital form filling application called Alpha Transform which integrates very well with the IDE

Cons

  • Constant and dynamic updates to the system are one of the biggest strengths but can also be one of its weaknesses as it can be difficult to keep up with the pace of change.
  • Speed of development
  • The Alpha Cloud offering
  • The flexibility to tailor the end product
  • The Alpha Transform offering
  • As a small business the ability to template and re-use components and code snippets throughout the product makes my business model viable.
I stopped evaluating alternate products several years ago as Alpha Anywhere has continued to develop and keep up with technological advances to my satisfaction. Having made the decision to focus development with Alpha Anywhere, I have not looked back and continue to develop at pace for my existing and growing client base.

The speed of development from concept, through development and delivery of the end product is so impressive [with Alpha Anywhere]. There is an impressive array of genies and helper functions meaning that you can focus on what matters, the end user experience. It is not a "No code" solution but it is a very impressive "low code" solution which allows detailed access under the hood to tweak the applications to your own needs and the needs of your clients.
