Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense

Alphasense is my daily driver to keep on top of my research coverage. With useful chronologically listed research and company doc access, I am able to follow the relevant updates for my company very efficiently. I have recently started experimenting with dashboards, and they are a useful feature too. In addition, during open-ended research projects, Alphasense is perfect for finding out pointed pieces of information (eg, TAM of the battery market, etc.) and greatly increase efficiency. Hoping for additional sources of news, especially local sources in Asian markets with a translation feature.

Pros

  • Easy to find crucial data points.
The website is quite easy, but the dashboards have a bit of a learning curve. The mobile app is very good but lacks the entire set of functionalities that the website has.
Sometimes the website is a bit slow to update and respond to user inputs, perhaps consider a dedicated application for PC
Not really an aspect we have explored using Alphasense. Perhaps one for the future.

Alphasense is perfect for open-ended research projects - for example, when I had to research TAM for e-commerce market in Brazil, Alphasense was my go-to tool. Similarly, for earnings call transcripts, there are useful features with a recording that have been recently added, and they have been great. Keeping up to date with research coverage is one of the main advantages of Alphasense.

Page load is very slow, also they loose connection after a while - not sure if it is our VPN issue or AS issue
