Overall Satisfaction with Automox

We are using automox for patch and vulnerability assessment and management for both linux and windows VM's
  • Linux Patching
  • Windows Patching
  • Vulnerability Assessment by integrating automox with Rapid7
  • Automox can also own repository management which will help on most of the cases.
  • Add more integration with security tools and ease that integration
  • Positive impact the different kinds of report and notifications of patching success/failure which reduces the man hours.
  • The cost of the tool is nominal.
After bringing in Automox the amount of manual effort spend on patching is reduced, we get better reports and insights for managment.
Its easier to manage things in single console, were we have both flavours of operating system.
satellite is costly.
spacewalk is opensource and has limited fucntionality.

Best suited for Linux and Windows Patch management, less appropriate on vulnerability assessment because it doesn't show the critical|high|medium|low for all the patches or security threats for the system.
