Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
We use Avatax because we are shipping to customers all over the country and frequently need to collect and remit sales tax on behalf of the customers and states.
- Estimate sales tax
- compile sales tax needed to remit sales tax return
- tracking different taxable items
- keeping track of resale certificates
- Communicating changes in states needs like codes used
- Sometimes emails are vague and I don't know if I need to make a change on my end somewhere.
- The initial setup was unclear. There are some people who were exceptionally helpful like Roger Ingalsbe and some who were not helpful at all.

- It makes my job easier. I don't have to keep track of different county taxes etc.. in a state.
- It makes doing our sales tax returns easier.
- It helps the sales team give customers more accurate estimates.

It's nice to have help with some of the tax returns. I also appreciate any of the SST states making my job easier.

We use Stripe but duplicate our transaction in QuickBooks so our Stripe orders are uncommitted orders in Avatax.
