Overall Satisfaction with Avalara AvaTax

Avalara's implementation team worked directly with our tech team to ensure the backend calls work smoothly and effectively. It was a very easy process.
Avatax as a product overall is great. Avalara as a company is fantastic to work with. When looking at the overall package it is a great value for the price.
Our organization utilizes Avatax to apply the correct tax percentages to our e-commerce sales of goods. We rely on Avatax to provide us coverage across all 50 states and Canada.
  • Avatax has a ton of content - over 2000 tax codes to address the many needs of an e-commerce company
  • Avatax's user interface is easy to navigate and makes working in Avatax easy and efficient
  • Avatax syncs directly with our API which allows us to apply the appropriate tax rates and make tax calls in real time
  • While Avalara does have a great range of content, they're still behind some of their competitors in terms of industry specific content. This could be expanded upon.
  • Avatax has streamlined our tax calculations and which has had a huge positive impact on our company. Avatax gives us the capability to sell cross-border without spending countless hours researching the ever-changing tax landscape.
Implementing Vertex/ONESOURCE is much more difficult and more expensive than Avalara.
Our organization uses both Avalara's consulting service and return preparation service in addition to Avatax. Having a one stop shop for all of our indirect tax compliance needs is a huge benefit to our organization. Being able to pull reports for audit support is a huge time saver and any time our company is interested in entering into a new market or product line we are confident that Avalara will have the content to support us.
Avalara as a one stop shop for tax compliance blows away the competition. The level of expertise received for the price is a tremendous value. The user interface is easy to navigate, all of the transactions and returns are conveniently saved in the system for easy recall, and the consulting team is knowledgeable and responsive.
One of Avalara's key differentiators is its excellent customer service. Avalara has been a pleasure to work with and the customer support team is both knowledgeable and friendly!
