Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is our database for tracking donors and gifts, including their contact information and other details. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT helps us keep all this information in one place so that it is accessible and allows us to run a variety of queries. As a user, I process gifts, add new constituents and run a variety of queries.
  • Easy search of records for names
  • List feature works well for basic queries
  • Periodic updates of addresses
  • I wish you could delete a record or gift in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
  • The feature that identifies (potential) duplicate records feels clunky
  • For more complex queries we have to use the database view which feels really clunky and hard to use
  • Ease of retrieving information about donations and donors
  • Ease of running queries
  • Being able to use constituent codes
  • Use of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT has allowed us to be more efficient with our time
  • It's reassuring to know that all our data is in one place
We are a small shop (2 people ), so we likely aren't using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to its full capacity. It certainly is helpful to retrieve info on our donors and be able to track their giving over the years and likewise identify those who have lapsed.

I have used other Blackbaud products over the years but cannot recall the names. I do remember using a product similar to the database view and absolutely hated it as well as the way in which you'd run queries.

Would you buy Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT again?

Yes

I think Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is probably a good option for an organization that's not super large and has fewer records. For the most part, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT meets our needs, and we can run queries. As I mentioned, for anything that's more complex, we use the database view. What I do like is the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT interface which is vastly better than the database view. The former is much more logical.
