Overall Satisfaction with BOARD
We use BOARD to show our KPI scorecards for each business unit. Our finance team can control which KPIs are used for which business unit, change KPIs and update data without any help from IT. As we add other datasources, BOARD will be our single source of the truth. The numbers in BOARD will be managed by Finance to ensure the highest data quality.
- One purchase many uses - By buying BOARD once, we can use it throughout the company for a variety of purposes. As more staff become familiar with it, they are starting to use it on their own, wherever they see a fit for it.
- No programming - There is no need to understand any programming language. Everything is visual and easy to follow.
- Mature product - BOARD has many well-respected brands using it already. We didn't want to be the first ones to try something new.
- Easy drilling - Drilling is an out of the box feature. I don't need to setup anything special to see the details behind a given report.
- Mobile - The mobile experience is not as slick as the desktop yet.
- Financial Reporting Formats - Some of the formatting required to have pixel-perfect reporting is hard to do. I'd like to be able to setup a standard format for financial reporting that would apply across all our financial reports.
- Tips - As a blank canvas, sometimes I'm not sure what add. It would be nice to have some kind of suggestion feature of what additional features I could add.
We chose BOARD over other options because it was something we could configure and extend internally. Other tools were too complicated and expensive to maintain, or not flexible enough for us to change on our own. From a visual perspective, BOARD was very appealing too. It doesn't require much effort to make something look good in BOARD, whereas it was more difficult with some of the other tools we reviewed.
