Overall Satisfaction with Broadvoice

I switched from traditional land-line to hosted PBX through Broadvoice for the purpose of extended features, ease use, mobile app, and means of using a more traditional desk phone with support. I needed multiple lines due to having several calls coming in at the same time on a regular basis and a hosted PBX was the proper solution for this, as fees for multiple traditional landlines were beginning to get overly expensive.

For a simple desk operation it works great. Easy to transfer calls to other extensions, connect to voicemail, view call history. My biggest complaint is with the Communicator app and web interface. In my opinion, I don't know how else to explain it other than it's awful. In my experience For years now on my app it shows 18 un-read messages (whether that be a text, call, or voicemail). In my experience I have spent endless hours digging through the call/text history and have yet to find a way to clear these 18 notifications. In my experience I have talked to support and they have no clue what the issue is. In my opinion, The mobile app only connects to calls about half the time when placing or receiving calls and the quality of the calls isn't stellar. In my opinion, Now here is the biggest problem with the mobile app: Push notifications for text messages don't work, I've found. In my experience, There have been multiple instances where I didn't see a text message until I went into communicator to review the day's history which has caused some complications with clients expecting timely responses. I don't have any other experience with hosted PBX platforms or services so I cannot compare Broadvoice to others, but in my experience and opinion they leave a lot to be desired.
