Overall Satisfaction with Celonis
We have different use cases of Celonis within the organization. We used it across the business processes supported by the Shared Service locations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing), to look for bottlenecks and frictions in the processes and find opportunities for automation. In addition to the business process optimization initiatives, we also are using Celonis to support the monitoring of Operational KPIs of the different areas. Finally, we also are working with our Quality Team to leverage the expertise from our trained Green Belts and apply it towards opportunities highlighted by Celonis.
- Regular updates and release of new functionality to their platform
- Support Customer Value Realization through their network of Customer Success Managers
- Customer Support does a very good job as well
- Availability of apps and connector templates in the EMS Content Store
- Difficult to export data from Celonis EMS (cloud) into other systems: Celonis offers a python API called pyCelonis to export data from different Celonis objects but it is not very straight forward and it has some limitations
- Connecting a new data source outside of the standard ones (SAP, JDBC, etc) takes some time and effort
- It has helped us to identify On-Time Delivery issues with different vendors
- We have a global program to reduce Maverick Buying spend which is supported by Celonis
- The AP Department is using Celonis to monitor the Autoposting rate of invoices and identify Vendors with opportunity areas
We have been following the Celonis Value Realization framework across the different regions to identify and frame business improvement and digital automation opportunities with the information presented by the system. In addition, we have also worked with the different Heads of Departments to transition from using offline files and exports for monitoring business KPIs, to now using Celonis directly with near real-time data. One example comes from our Accounts Payable department, before they used to create every week a Power Point package to report KPIs like Invoice Backlog, Readsoft Worklog Levels, Aging and Autoposting metrics. This manual Power Point package has been replaced with Celonis with more dynamic views and also gives additional insights into other ways to evaluate the Teams and Process performance.
