Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense

Concur Travel and Expense is used throughout my organization across all departments as the main travel and expenses software. It automates the entry and management of business and travel expenses and eliminates the need for admin assistants to manage these items. In addition, it streamlines the process for reserving airfare and train tickets.

  • No dedicated Concur Travel and Expense tech support. I had to call my own organization's HR department to resolve a reimbursement issue

  • No confirmation sent to you when reimbursement is complete; you will have to check corporate card statements manually
  • Time saved by admin assistants in compiling expense reports (about 1-2 hours per report per employee)

Our organization used an internal travel and expenses software called EZ-X which was only available on the company Intranet and was quite arcane and difficult to understand. Furthermore, only admin assistants were allowed to enter expenses and make travel arrangements for every employee. We selected Concur Travel and Expense because it allowed each individual employee to have the freedom in choosing their own preferred travel arrangements.
We have not yet integrated any other ERP software with Concur Travel and Expense.
I really appreciated the ease of use and ability of the Concur mobile app to directly upload receipts from my business phone, which saves significant amounts of time compared to scanning in receipts from the desktop version. The automated alert system worked well too, which helped me avoid data entry mistakes in my reports.
Concur Travel and Expense has improved our employees' freedom in choosing and booking their own travel arrangements. In addition, it is much easier to use than our previous software, and automates the report approval process. It has also partly encouraged me, at least, to take more off-site training opportunities, knowing that the financial and logistic management of those trips would be very easy to do via Concur Travel and Expense.
Concur Travel and Expense is well suited for
  1. Business travelers who use the SAP Concur App on their phone regularly, since it is easy to take pictures of receipts and add them to an expense report
  2. Admin assistants

Concur Travel and Expense is more difficult to use for
  1. People who don't have a business phone, since using Concur Travel and Expense on desktop requires uploading receipts from a camera/scanner.
  2. People with unusual business expenses or who are in charge of capital equipment expenditures.
