Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
I use ConnectWise Control to remotely manage and connect to a small office of about 10 computers and a server. I am the only one who uses it/manages it. It allows me to have access anytime without having to physically access the computers, as well as be able to see important information about the computers.
Pros
- Connection over the internet is reliable. I've never experienced any issues using it.
- Able to see computer status at-a-glance. It's incredibly useful being able to take a glance at a live computer to just check-in on things.
- In addition to viewing the computer, seeing helpful stats such as uptime is very useful.
Cons
- My only complaint is the navigation sidebar. I think that the naming convention seems a bit weird, for example, having to click "access" to sign in and view remote computers. I think that it would make more sense to have a "login" button and a "view computers" button, or something of the sort.
- Overall it's allowed me to save my time and the time of my customer because I don't have to drive to the location. Being able to have a reliable piece of software that just works cannot be overstated.
I like ConnectWise Control better. It's easier to use and manage. The billing and customer service is straight forward. TeamViewer is a great product, but having to deal with support is always a bit of a pain and they are always slow to respond.
