Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

We use D&B Finance Analytics to run a report on new (and sometimes existing customers) to get a snapshot of their financial situation. It helps us in determining how comfortable we are in establishing credit terms with that customer, or whether we might need to get payment in advance or a partial payment before accepting an order from this company.
  • Shows how long a company had been in business
  • Helps in determining the credit worthiness of a new customer
  • Gives us information to determine how much confidence we have in a new customer
  • Would like to see some information on interpreting the data shown on a company
  • A list of key employees could be helpful, though I realize this is an ever-changing dynamic
  • We have found customers with a terrible pay history, allowing us to further query that customer
  • No negative impact, other than the rare instance of a potential new customer not being found in the D&B's database
We have not used these features, nor have we really seen the need for them in a company our size and volume of sales.
It was quite easy to implement the use of D&B as a resource of researching potential customers. The process is quite easy of locating a customer and generating the report. The task of interpreting that report and making a financial decision is somewhat left to the discretion of the employee.
We have never had an occasion to contact support

Do you think D&B Finance Analytics delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with D&B Finance Analytics's feature set?

Yes

Did D&B Finance Analytics live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of D&B Finance Analytics go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy D&B Finance Analytics again?

Yes

D&B Finance Analytics does a great job in showing the overall history of a company, and a snapshot of the latest financial history of the company. Some of the information is given in a numbered score, and it's not quite clear exactly what that number means. The report does show whether a small or large number indicates positivity, but I still would like more clarity.
