Overall Satisfaction with Dialpad

Our event company hires a large number of employees for various jobs that we run throughout the year. We solicit employees from a database, asking them if they are available for the specific dates and times that are required for a specific job, and they respond back with their availability. We switched to Dialpad from Google Voice because it gave us the ability to text employees without having a texting limit (Google Voice shut us down for 24 hours sometimes when we sent too many texts at one time, thinking we were spamming). We use Dialpad every day in our workflow because our job is mostly soliciting employees by text and occasionally by phone. It also gives us the opportunity to have multiple users using it at one time so everyone on the team has visibility and can make sure people are responded to.
  • No limit to texts.
  • Easy mobile use.
  • Straight-forward and easy to manage.
  • The option to send a text does not pull up the previous conversation that was with that employee, which can be frustrating.
  • The interface is sometimes slow and glitchy, saying that there is a new text from someone when there is not.
  • The panel on the side does not show the last text sent, which Google Voice did. It made checking messages quicker than having to click open every thread.
  • Google Voice allowed us to accept a call by hearing who is calling first and then pressing "1". Dialpad does not do this.
  • Positive - It has improved our workflow in the solicitation of employees since we no longer need to worry about sending too many texts and getting shut down.
  • Positive - It works great on all mobile apps.
  • Negative - The interface is slow and glitchy and not as quick or easy to use as Google Voice.
Dialpad is a better service than most for business solicitation mostly because the interface is so user-friendly, and it works well on mobile as well as on the computer. Having unlimited texting is really a huge plus to pay for because my company needs that kind of freedom in our work. It still has a few bugs that I think put it below Google Voice as far as its interface and workflow, but overall I would say Dialpad is heading in the right direction. Their customer service team, I also can say, is very helpful and friendly!
The support team is very helpful and friendly! They were very encouraging to us when we were trying to figure out if Dialpad would be the right service to use for us as we were trying to move to a platform with unlimited texting. They also helped us get our contacts moved over from Google Voice to Dialpad, which was a huge help (though we did not go through with a full official number port).

Dialpad is great for any team that needs to have a shared number. It gives everyone on the team visibility to see who has texted them and who has responded to them. It also gives the opportunity to send a lot of texts to a lot of people, but not have to do it from a phone. I personally appreciate having Dialpad on my phone, because I can call and text employees when I am working from that app, but I can turn it off whenever I am not working so I don't have to get random phone calls from employees on the weekends.
