Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our main use case for the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is to have a centralized backup and restore mechanism that automates the whole process with a vendor agnostic solution.

Pros and Cons

Backups of critical datastores
Restores and DR of critical datastores
HA design and multi region migration planning and layouts
Automating the encryption
Phoenix deduplication featureset

They have more ways to improve in Analytics section and UX.
I recommend to have to integrate with the cloud storages cheaper option to store backups which would be tremendous for customers to save snapshots costs.
Love to see Druva Data Resiliency Cloud have a better rbac policy on who can trigger the DR engine.

Return on Investment

More importantly it reduced 60% of our operational overhead and time savings in maintaining the backups.
This also tremendously reduced the manual failures like deduplicating the backups and there were many cases it saved us 40% of our entire bill by taking point in time backups.
It saved 1000's of dollars when we used the DR plan and rolled a new infra in less than few minuted with less manpower and less time.

Druva inSync Support for SaaS Apps and Endpoints

I think Druva Data Resiliency Cloud has the industry standard best feature set and it does the best process automation for the above tooling with less fatigue in maintaining and securing our workloads.

Scalability

Druva Data Resiliency Cloud has the highest overall SLA so far and the product has capability to handle n number of vendor agnostic accounts and solutions so far our footprint is high and it seamlessly handled all the workloads securing them and the integration is so far easier compared to other industry tools.

Alternatives Considered

AWS Backup, Keepit, Panzura CloudFS and Datto ALTO

The cost of Druva Data Resiliency Cloud solution far better and decent compared to other tools out there. The comparison of the feature stack with that cost model is very important for key companies as they roll out many workloads into the system as they grow. I also differentiate Druva Data Resiliency Cloud feature stack with other tools and rate them higher because of seamless integration and the needs of the company.

For our use case we have been using it extensively for centralizing the automated backup creation per scheduled time intervals for critical datastores and servers. Designed a backup plan DR plan accordingly and have everything integrated. To have better sleep for operational overhead in the event of ransomware attack or cloud systems going down in one region, this automation tremendously helps us to get a new env running in few minutes with less manpower.
