Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize Druva Phoenix as our Disaster Recovery vendor, as well as our off-site backup provider. Their tools allows us to safely recover any file we need for immediate recovery. Their Disaster Recovery service will allow us to bring up our environment in AWS within an hour or two.

Pros and Cons

It just works well. After the setup and configuration, the backups work as they are intended to work.
We run DR tests once or twice a quarter and the test has always been successful.
Their support has been very helpful with any issue we have encounter.

Not much to report for needed improvement. We have been very happy with their current offering.

Return on Investment

Having a vendor we can trust our data and trust that their service will be reliable when needed has definitely relieved some stress.

Usability

It's very easy to use, and during the initial stages their techs will guide you on where everything is.

Support Rating

We had a few issues during the setup process but their techs were very knowledgeable and were able to solve the problem.

Alternatives Considered

Compared to our previous vendor, Druva Phoenix is way above and beyond what they were offering. Utilizing AWS as their backbone assured us this is a company that we can trust and trust that they will be reliable.

It met the criteria we were looking for in a DR/Backup vendor. It does backups of our VMWare VMs and allows us to use them in AWS in a Disaster Recovery scenario. Those two main points were what we were looking for in our new vendor.
