Overall Satisfaction with Expensify
We use Expensify to manage all of our organization's expense reporting and expense reimbursement. It makes expense reporting a breeze and allows our users to get reimbursed for their expenses in a timely manner. For the accounting department, Expensify has made their job 1000 times easier and for our IT department, we have less problems reported as we do not have to provide support for an on-premise solution.
Pros
- Expensify's mobile application makes on-the-go expense reporting easy. Just scan your receipts from your phone and they are automatically added to your expense report.
- Users don't have a difficult time creating and submitting expense reports because the process is almost fully automated.
- Setting up policies and expense report templates is a breeze with the very friendly administration GUI.
- Expensify integrates with Okta easily for a perfect SSO solution.
Cons
- The web GUI can be a bit misleading at first. However, using it a few times, users figure out where to go. I just wish the menus were a bit easier to navigate.
- Setting up SSO via Okta did not work the first time we tried it. I had to call in support for assistance, it turned out the instructions we were using from Okta were a bit off, so Expensify had to update a setting on our account to get it to work properly.
- Customer support was a bit slow to respond to my request for help. I'd like to see a bit faster response time.
- Our expense reporting process was improved 1000% since we switched to Expensify from using internal reporting. People are being reimbursed much faster than before.
- Accounting can run reports to see what users would benefit from a company credit card, or vice-versa, those who should not need one.
