Overall Satisfaction with Figma

We use Figma to collaborate on creative projects of all kinds. It's an all-in-one platform that lets our broader creative team work together with ease. Plus, Figma's comprehensive suite of design tools reduces the need for multiple software licenses, making it a cost-effective solution for businesses. We love how we can access Figma from any device— a laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc. This helps us get quick reviews in real-time.
  • Cloud-based access means we can use it (and get approvals) quickly, from anywhere.
  • It's real-time collaboration features are pretty much unrivaled.
  • We love being able to make edits in real-time and track changes so even if something is edited accidentally, we can revert back to a certain point in the project and restore it.
  • You can only use Figma when you're connected to the internet, so unfortunately there is no offline editing or access.
  • The version control, while it exists, could definitely be upgraded and more sophisticated.
  • It's not ideally suited for extra large projects like a comprehensive re-brand effort, for example.
  • We have to pay for less software licenses overall.
  • Definitely saves our team time and allows us to brainstorm and complete projects quicker, which in turn, allows us to be more productive throughout the quarter.
  • No negative impacts on our business—we've been able to better manage our creative libraries and easily share them with other stakeholders.
What Figma does best above its competitors is allow collaboration without compromising design capabilities. The interface is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, which made a big difference to us as not everyone on our team has the same skillset and design familiarity. Unlike Sketch, which is limited to macOS, or Adobe XD, which requires manual sharing of files, Figma allows designers to work simultaneously on projects regardless of their operating systems. This feature significantly enhances team productivity and cohesion, particularly for remote or distributed teams.

Figma’s web-based application is particularly beneficial in a remote work setting. Figma excels in managing design systems and reusable components. Design libraries can be easily shared and updated across projects, ensuring consistency and saving time when working on large-scale applications or websites. While Figma offers basic prototyping capabilities, it falls short when it comes to complex animations and micro-interactions. Our designers have often complained about this limited capability. Unlike some other design tools, Figma's offline capabilities are limited, which can disrupt workflow during periods of connectivity issues.
