Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart
My organization uses GiveSmart mainly in the Development and Accounting/Administrative departments. We use the platform for our fundraising events and it has allowed us to have all our fundraising/event needs addressed in one place.
- GiveSmart itself is very intuitive and easy to learn! For users, setting up the campaign pages is very simple and donors/guests are able to easily set up their registration and donate/participate in events.
- The automated features re: donations/bidding and communicating with donors before/during the event make the entire process really simple and allows for the event planners to focus on other tasks.
- GiveSmart provides tons of resources for learning how to navigate the platform through videos and articles. Their customer service team is incredible as well and very easy to contact via their chat or by email. They also offer onsite assistance which is really unique and allows for your whole team to get hands-on training and guidance on event day. (I've not seen this available anywhere else.)
- The donation reports you can create at the end of your event are very comprehensive in the detail they go into when analyzing the details of the revenue made from the event. I have found them incredibly useful when planning future events.
- I think being able to make more significant changes to the homepage would be useful. Because the edits allowed are very minor, it can be hard to make a very dynamic home page for events. This becomes even more apparent to users after several events.
- It would great for event-planning and reporting purposes if you could split tickets and sponsorships instead of having them all under the ticket umbrella. It would also be clearer for the guests so that when they go to buy tickets they don't see sponsorships.
- It has been great to use as an analytical tool for planning future events by being able to track our top auction items, highest bidders, average donation amount, etc.
- Because of the need to register, we are able to capture tons of donor information which helps us keep in communication after events.
We have been able to utilize the customizations on the landing page and in the forms on the campaign site to fit our voice and visual style as an organization.
