Use Cases and Deployment Scope

GoTo Meeting was used in many different capacities. From the sales department, it was a great tool to use to demonstrate our services to prospective clients. Internally, it was also often utilized to proof campaigns with remote employees. It was a much needed tool as we were doing "scavenger hunt" and describing what we wanted our counterpart to review.

Pros and Cons

ability to record webinars to be hosted on our server
invite other attendees on the fly to join
ability to incorporate VOIP or land line connection

I recall that the ability to give a viewer controls on the presenting laptop/computer were very rough

Alternatives Considered

WebEx Meetings,cisco webex

GTM is a friendlier interface with many social media chat like features. I prefer it in comparison to our current WebEx subscription.

Likelihood to Renew

Unfortunately, I am unable to make this choice for my current company. If I was able to, I would definitely choose to license Go To Meeting again.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think GTM came in at a great time when the competition was significantly higher in cost. Using GTM on a smaller capacity, ie 1-4 attendees should be easier. It always seemed a bit awkward to use it for 1:1 meetings.

It is a great tool that I wished we used in our current company as well.
