Overall Satisfaction with Groove

Groove is used by all of our account managers and salespeople. It's a time saver that helps automate many tasks like auto logging emails to/from clients in their Salesforce records, sending mass emails for customer notification, and marketing to prospects from Salesforce reports, spreadsheets, etc. The Groove dialer is a time saver and allows you to log calls within the same window as the dialer, which are then written to the Salesforce record for the contact and company. We use Google mail and the Groove Omni bar allows you to see the contact or account record right from our Gmail Screen. It definitely increases productivity and allows you to have most of the information you need right at your fingertips!

  • Initially had some issues with the dialer, but not recently. We are upgrading our Groove dialer today.
  • You get a pop-up notification at the top of the screen as emails are logged/information added and it blocks the ability for a second or two to navigate elsewhere in Salesforce or search mail in Gmail. Maybe better placement for the pop-up notification.

I'm not sure how I would go back to doing many of these things manually after using Groove for so long. They are always improving and adding features that make doing my job easier and make me more efficient.
It's hard to quantify. I would easily say a few hours a week for tasks that are now automated.
I have not used or evaluated any other tools similar to Groove.

We use it primarily for our account managers and salespeople, as well as our finance department for collections or billing questions. It makes it easy for me to see who else is contacting my clients and for what reason so I am quickly able to have a reference point when I speak to my assigned companies. It makes it easy for us to create standard template emails that are used regularly.

I would say the only reason where this may not be an appropriate use is positions that are not in direct client contact.
