Not the cheapest solution, but you get what you pay for.

Overall Satisfaction

  • Importing data is very easy
  • Customising forms is easy to do and does not require someone from Halogen to make the changes
  • Reporting in Halogen is easy to do and allows you to pull data into Excel to manupulate
  • The single sign-on feature makes it easy for end users to access their Halogen portal
  • You have the ability to create as many different processes as you need. You can have one form for managers, another for business development, another for individual contributors ect.
  • Setting up the single sign-on had its challenges, but finally our IT team and Halogen were able to get it setup and working
  • There are automatic reminders for individuals to complet their tasks. They could use a couple more options about how to setup the reminders.
  • Increased employee retention
  • Better alingnment of employee goals with company goals
  • Increased productivity by reducing the amount of effort managers had to spend conducting their mid-year and year-end reviews.
Although I am not with the same company anymore, I would have been very likely to renew. In the face of cost cutting efforts, the business may be forced to look at cheaper solutions, but they will sacrifice functionality and ease of use for all users if they opt for a cheaper solution.
In my new role, I am no longer the one administering our performance management system, but I have had several discussions with our Director of Learning and Development and shared with her ways that Halogen would work better than the current system we have. I think this system has a lot of flexibility which allows it to fit a variety of different needs.
