Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use hirevue to pre-screen candidates before bringing them in for a face to face interview. This has saved us significant time and allowed us to get a better idea of how well a potential employee will be able to do the job.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Less pressure for the interviewee
Frees up the time of the hiring managers
Is consistent across candidates

Cons

The CodeVue portion of HireVue works better for some programming languages than others
Is an awkward experience for candidates to go through (not something they expect)

Return on Investment

Has eliminated some need for phone screening
Gives us a good picture of a candidate before we have a face to face interview
