Overall Satisfaction with IBM SPSS Statistics

SPSS is used as a tool for complex data cuts, data modeling, and regressions mainly. One of the primary uses is for running TURF analysis for a few clients that we run those kinds of projects for. It is also used to check our data against our online platform reports that we generate.
  • User friendly drop downs
  • Syntax text shading to help with formulas
  • Able to do simple to very complex statistical analysis
  • Good descriptions of errors when they occur
  • User support for learning
  • Better in-app experience to describe drop down selections
  • Allows us to do deep data analysis not able to be done in other programs our company has
  • We pay for licenses for all employees even though not everyone has training/experience so wasting some money there
It is a great tool to assist our companies online platform with advanced analytics. It saves time for many processes that were previously done in Excel and adds in value from new deliverables that were not an option for us before. Our clients have been very pleased with the added value and increased their spend with us.
Added customer value and revenue growth
I prefer Q for creating banners, but SPSS is a nice tool for doing advanced data runs or quick data checks.

Using IBM SPSS Statistics

15 - Most people using SPSS in my company are within the research team. Some qual people have it on their pc but do not utilize it often or to much depth.
We would need trained professionals to be here for support or have someone internally be trained by professionals to be legitimate support.
  • TURF analysis
  • Manual significance testing
  • Data quality checks
  • none that I am aware of
  • data prep to integrate into our online platform
It does the job we need it to do extremely well and I don't see us changing from that any time soon.

Evaluating IBM SPSS Statistics and Competitors

  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Our systems can easily use our outputs from SPSS to display results in our online platform.
I wouldn't change a thing. We are very happy with our choice to use and maintain use of SPSS.

IBM SPSS Statistics Implementation

N/A. I was not present for implementation but had to give an answer above to proceed and finish.
Not sure - I was not present at the company when SPSS was implemented.

We did not purchase premium support. Most everyone is pretty well trained in the program and we did not see a need.
I was having a hard time getting my significance testing results to display. Support helped identify my need and what selections to make to achieve my desired results.

Using IBM SPSS Statistics

I found it pretty easy to use when learning the program years ago. It has some more complex functions that are more difficult to learn but are great to use once you acquire the knowledge.
