Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

Insightly is being used by our company across the whole organization in that the information may be viewed and reports generated by some, but data entry is very controlled by a few of us. We are gathering contacts from our trade shows, keeping tracking of meetings with clients, literature/sample requests from our clients and potential clients and track supplies sent to our outside sales representatives. Insightly helps us to achieve organization of incoming requests for meetings and/or supply requests. It also helps us know the origins of a relationship with businesses we come in contact with which is important for managing our outside sales reps.
  • I appreciate the automatic check for duplicate entries. I enter hundreds of contacts on a weekly basis so avoiding duplicates helps manage the time spent entering information.
  • The export feature is key for my work. I use the export feature daily to help generate a report for sample/literature requests. Because I can export into an Excel spreadsheet, this cuts down on the time it used to take me to generate my request reports.
  • The tasks feature is one of my favorites! This feature helps me organize particular contacts with very specific needs that I must address by a certain time. It helps me with time management because it allows me to assign a deadline date and very specific instructions for what needs to be done.
  • The tab feature when entering information for a new contact does not alway work. For example, I will enter the first name, last name, business, etc., and then tab down to telephone number and when the field box opens for the telephone number, I still have to click into the box to enter the data.
  • It would be nice to have Insightly link to QuickBooks contacts for cross referencing purposes.
  • If we could have our literature/samples request automatically routed from our website directly into Insightly, that would cut down on the time it takes to manually enter the information.
Insightly is well suited for CRM purposes. I can see where it would be suited for small businesses to help manage customer contacts, meetings and outcome of meetings/interactions with clients and potential clients. It's nice to see where a relationship started, under what circumstances and project where it will lead to.
