Overall Satisfaction with Join.me
We sometimes use Join.me as a fallback if one of our other methods of screen sharing do not work. There are times when other products are not allowed through firewalls, or their services are down, and we still need to support our customers. Sometimes, Join.me will work when others don't.
- Getting connected to customers is easy.
- Fairly fast loading of initial web site.
- File transfers could be easier. Users have to accept the transfer, no drag and drop, etc.
- The screen refresh/redraw is quite slow. Mouse movement can be slow/choppy.
- It definitely has helped us since it's free to use and we can use it when our paid for solutions are not working. We have run into cases where nothing works, even join.me, but those are rare. We find that most places seem to not have Join.me blocked, where others may be.
Since Join.me is free, it's not really fair to compare to all paid products. However, since Join.me is free and IS comparable to pay for products, that speaks in and of itself. While the screen refresh is a little slow, and there are some extra clicks users have to do to permit people to do things, it still works good enough to do remote system support. There are a lot of other free products out there that are just terrible, and we've tried a lot of them. Bomgar is an expensive product that works, but only on the SAME level as join.me, which is a free product. TeamViewer and ScreenConnect are both expensive as well, but they also have better features, faster screen redraw, and easier file transfers. With that said, Join.me rivals Bomgar and if others are not currently working right, Join.me is a great fall back solution that can get the job done.
