Overall Satisfaction with Linode

Linode has been the easiest server solution we've used: zero uptime issues, zero performance issues, and zero hassle setting up the environment. Linode had plenty of guides tailored to setting up their server for our use case, and we could get speedy support whenever we needed it, such as opening ports for mailing. Whenever maintenance occurs on Linode's behalf, it has always been done before we've even been able to notice and we've experienced next to no downtime related to regular maintenance. Linode was also priced extremely competitively and cheaper than our previous solution. Overall, I have absolutely no complaints with Linode as the person who is in charge of setting up and maintaining our infrastructure with them.

We switched to Linode from Namecheap due to poor uptime, and never had any issues with stability ever again after switching. We also cut our costs in half by switching. We compared Linode to DigitalOcean and Vultr, with the primary factor that caused us to go with Linode initially being their documentation. After using Linode for 3 years, their amazing support is another reason why we wouldn't consider anyone else at this point.
Support from Linode has always been excellent for us. We've barely had to wait any time between ticket requests and replies, and we've always received replies that actually answered our problems. Whenever maintenance has occurred on Linode's side, they've always alerted us beforehand and left a ticket open as a source of communication in case we had any issues after maintenance or any other questions that we needed answered.
Linode halved our costs of operation just by switching from our previous hosting provider. Linode also allowed us to avoid being locked into paying yearly so that we weren't tied to their service in the event we had a poor experience with them. Both of these were extremely important to us as our last provided did not match their claims and also charged us yearly for worse service.
Linode has been incredibly reliable for us. We have had next to no downtime whatsoever, and when there has been downtime there has always been a legitimate, reasonable explanation for the downtime. We've missed out on opportunities in the past due to our website being unreliable at peak times, but with Linode that hasn't been a problem anymore.

Linode has been well suited for us for web hosting as even their cheapest shared hosting plan has been leaps and bounds more performant than shared web hosting provided by other companies. I cannot attest to situations where Linode wouldn't be as applicable, but for those looking for a very affordable solution to web hosting for those who need a proper server and have the willingness to set up Linux, I fully believe that Linode will be perfect.
