Litmos is at the head of the class of LMS platforms
Overall Satisfaction with Litmos
I joined TAIT to lead an enhanced focus on customer training efforts. I made the decision to purchase Litmos to be our customer-facing LMS platform, as TAIT didn't previously have either an external or internal LMS solution. Litmos serves three distinct purposes for us:
- Housing our growing library of home-grown training content
- Managing the sale and registration process for seats in our in-person classroom training sessions
- Content development of online curriculum, via the Litmos Content Author Tool
Pros
- The Content Author Tool is AMAZING. Team members with no formal learning and development training or background have been able to successfully build interactive and engaging eLearning courses without the need for an outside application (or a separate expensive license fee).
- It is a very user-friendly LMS platform. The learning curve for users, and for administrators and/or eLearning developers/designers is low, in comparison to many other platforms.
- There are so many valuable integrations within Litmos, from Shopify to Box to Zoom, and more. It allows us to leverage many of the applications our business already uses to develop and deliver training content.
Cons
- I generally feel that any challenges I experience are due to the vast flexibility the platform has. My gut tells me that my minor issues are actually a result of certain functionality needing to be there to meet the needs of other customers, and it's not Litmos' fault that my specific workflow doesn't fit exactly into their functionality. It's a matter of me determining how I can update my workflow to fit the feature set.
- Increased customer engagement
- Improved efficiency, due to automated payment/registration processes
Cornerstone OnDemand doesn't even come close. It's clunky, difficult to use, and old school in comparison to Litmos.
