Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

While I've used a variety of diagramming tools, I found Lucidchart to be one of the more advanced and powerful ones. At the same time, there wasn't much of a learning curve. All of the diagramming tools work quite similarly and if you have experience with one, you'll likely get up to speed on this one quite quickly.
Lucidchart is one of the most advanced diagramming software tools that I've worked with. Previous experience with Gliffy left a lot to be desired in terms of usability. While I only scratched the surface of all that LucidCharts offers, I would recommend it for any architecture diagram use-cases. While I found some quirks around connecting things on the charts, once I got familiar with it, it was quite easy.
  • Comprehensive set of shapes and icons.
  • Exporting to other formats.
  • I found the connection tool to be a little difficult to work with at times.
  • Improved systems understanding for employees.
We didn't explore any of the integrations.
We didn't have a need for support.

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

Lucid chart benefits from a slick and intuitive web-based UI. Compared to Gliffy, I found LucidChart to have a bit crisper ui/ux.
I only used it for systems architecture diagrams for a web and mobile app backed up by an AWS serverside component. Based on what I saw in the shapes, I would expect it to be well suited to flow charts, conceptual site maps and other types of diagrams like that as well.
